Last month it was stated that for those of you who had purchased any of our e-books that we would now have download capability into a reader device such as an Amazon Kindle or a Sony Reader. Well this is still coming, and while it has taken longer than we originally anticipated, our hope is to have everything working in just a few days. This capability will also be available to any new purchasers of our books in this form. We’ll be making announcements on the forums when everything is up and running, and of course this will be available through our Two Plus Two Store.
We should also be launching The Two Plus Two Video Directory and The Two Plus Two video forum in just a few days. This will allow users to put embedded videos up on site.
The way it will work is that for a video hosted on a site such as You Tube, you will be able to go to our video directory and place it there. When you do this, the option will be given (by checking a box) to also start a thread in our Video Forum where the first post contains the video of interest.
We’ll be able to accept both commercial (which will require a small fee to post) and non-commercial videos (which can be posted for free), and we plan to set up different categories under which the videos can be entered in the video directory. More information will be made available as soon as the Two Plus Two Video Directory and Video Forum go up.
Last time I indicated that our next book Analytical No-Limit Hold ’em by Thomas Bakker would be released in October. Well, we’re still working on the manuscript, and right now November looks like a better estimate. There’s also been a lot of interest in this book and this issue of our Two Plus Two Online Poker Strategy Magazine has an excerpt which should give a little better idea as to exactly what the content of this book is like.
In our book publishing arm, work has started on The Math of Hold ’em by Collin Moshman and Douglas Zare. The initial manuscript has been delivered to us and my best estimate of when this book will be released would be early next year.
We are also looking at some additional book options. Exactly what will be done is not yet clear, but there will most likely be another Harrington book in the summer or fall of 2011, and I’m told it will address some of the newer aspects of tournament play. As for any other books, an announcement will be made right here if and when information is available.
