A few of you have been asking, what is the status of Analytical No-Limit Hold ’em; Crushing Mid-Stakes Short-Handed Games by Thomas Bakker. Well, we are hard at work on the manuscript and hope to release the book (probably) in late October. For those of you curious as to what exactly is in this book, see the preliminary table of contents in the August issue.
We are also almost ready to officially announce our next book to follow Analytical No-Limit Hold ’em. We have come to a verbal agreement with the authors and are just waiting for the contracts to be returned and signed. So I should have something to say about this book in next month’s magazine, and will post something in our “Books and Publications Forum” as soon as we have everything finalized. (So let the speculation begin.)
We are also in the process of getting download capability for our e-books to reader devices such as the Amazon Kindle, Sony Reader, Barnes & Noble Nook, and others. I recently came from a meeting with our digital people where we were told that all issues are resolved and the conversions to these forms will begin. Our plan is if you purchase one of our e-books through our Two Plus Two Store, you will not only be able to read it directly on the Internet, but will be allowed one download as well. This offer will also be good to those of you who have already bought a Two Plus Two e-book.
Also, once the conversion for our current e-book titles is complete, we’ll look at converting a few other Two Plus Two titles, including our new ones that have recently come out or will be coming out. If all this goes well, and the IPad stays popular, we may look converting some of our books to this form in perhaps six to nine months.
Finally, I want to mention two of our newer forums, the “Commercial Marketplace Forum” and the “Poker Coach Listings Forum.” Each of these forums provides, for a fee, an opportunity for some of you with an appropriate product or coaching skills to find a buyer or a student. We even allow entities to advertise who are actually competitive to some of our products. So if you’re interested in a listing on one of these forums, see the sticky at the top of each forum for more information.
