We have several important announcements to make in this note. First, our next book, Harrington on Online Cash Games; 6-Max No-Limit Hold ’em by Dan Harrington and Bill Robertie has just been released. For those interested, the fastest way to get it is through our own Two Plus Two Store since it can take a couple of weeks (or more) before it makes it to the shelves of other sellers. For those of you who are interested in making the purchase but have not yet made a final decision, I’m sure there will be plenty of comments on our Books and Publications Forum as well as other places on our website.
Our next announcement is that our annual Two Plus Two Get-Together will be held this year at the Aria Hotel and Casino. There are two days of activities on July 3 and July 4 including the annual dinner at 6:00 pm on July 4. By now, most of you are well aware of the party, but in case you’re not and are planning to be in Las Vegas, this should be a can’t miss event. Our third announcement concerns non-Two Plus Two authors and other book publishers. All of you need to understand that while we welcome discussion of all books and ebooks, whether published by Two Plus Two or another company, we do not welcome self-promotion. Constant posts by non-Two Plus Two authors and other publishers which are little more than announcements that are designed to boost their book sales will not be tolerated.
However, and I need to make this clear, we are not against the success of other books which are definitely good products. One of our purposes here at Two Plus Two is to steer our readers towards those products which are good, whether they are done by us or not, and away from those which are questionable. So, to this end we will now allow publishers/authors to purchase a thread in our Commercial Marketplace Forum. While not as high profile as a banner ad, this will be a much more economical alternative. Also, only one book (or eBook) for each purchased thread is allowed. We will not allow the advertising of any book/eBook (old or new to the market) if we have reason to believe that anyone who studies this material and follows its advice will lose their money.
