In a few days, we should be releasing our next book DUCY? by David Sklansky and Dr. Alan Schoonmaker. Since there is already much discussion of it in some of our forums, particularly "Books and Publications", I won’t go into it again here. But those of you who wish to order it can get it from our Two Plus Two Store where it is being offered at a pre-publication special. Also, even though we expect to release it soon, it usually takes at least ten days before most other outlets have it in stock. But our store will not only have it immediately, they will ship it right out.
Two Plus Two, through our Two Plus Two Store now offers thirteen of our titles in e-book format. These are books which you can read on your computer, are exact copies of our hardback versions, and you get them virtually instantly. This is a great way to purchase our books if you do not want to wait for shipping, and this can be especially nice if you live outside of the United States where shipping can take a while and customs can sometimes be a hassle.
But we now have a new announcement to make concerning our e-books. We are in the process of making them reader capable. Once this is done, if you own an Amazon Kindle, a Sony Reader, a Barnes & Noble Nook, or one of several other readers, you will be able to download our e-books into your device.
I won’t comment more except to say that the details are currently being worked out, and it is always possible that things will be somewhat different than I have described. But the current plan is if you purchase one of our e-books, you’ll be able to read it on the Internet using a computer (just as you are able to do so now), and you will have the option of downloading the e-book one time into your reader device.
And for those of you who have already purchased one or more of our e-books, don’t worry, you will get this capability as well. That is even though you may have ordered the e-book a couple of months ago, if you own one of these reader devices, you will be given the ability to download your e-book.
Our next item concerns the next Harrington book which will feature six-max no-limit games as played on the Internet. Dan & Bill tell me to expect the delivery of the manuscript around the middle of this month. This means that after our in house work is done, plus the printing, if everything goes as planned the book should be released sometime in April.
And finally, our last outstanding book, Analytical Hold ’em by Thomas Bakker is being worked on. We have seen the material for about half the book and feel it is outstanding. Hopefully this publication will quickly follow the next Harrington book.
