First off, our next book Pot-Limit Omaha: Understanding Winning Play by William Jockusch is now at the printer for the prepress work, which includes dropping in the card pictures, other artwork, creating the printing plates, etc. This means we should see the book between the middle and the end of September depending on the exact printing and binding schedule.
For those interested, this is a strong book that not only meets our standards but should be in demand for many years to come, and I understand that Poker Mike at our Two Plus Two store now has it available for ordering. We at Two Plus Two look forward to all comments and reviews that any of you may want to post on the forums about this book.
We are also finishing up a small expansion of our book The Professional Poker Dealer's Handbookby Dan Paymar, Donna Harris, and Mason Malmuth. Now I do understand that most of you would prefer to play rather than deal, but this book has become the standard that many poker dealers are now trained by, and it will now include information on no-limit hold 'em and the automatic shuffling machines that are now available in many cardrooms. Also, the discussion on tournaments has been expanded as well.
A few of you have been asking where are the Two Plus Two ebooks? For those who don't know, I did announce in a previous "Publisher's Note" a while back that many of our titles would soon be available in ebook form from our Two Plus Two Store. Well, they are still on the way and we are hoping that the first one, The Theory of Poker by David Sklansky will appear sometime this month. (I would say early this month but this project has taken longer than originally expected and there can always be another unexpected delay.) And once this is up, we hope to quickly follow with all our important titles including any new books that are in the pipeline.
Next, our SEO and website redesign work continue. The SEO stuff won't affect the use of our website, but the redesign work will soon give us a somewhat different look. I'm sure there will be much discussion about the changes when they arrive.
And finally, we are keeping in contact with both the Poker Player's Alliance (PPA) and the Interactive Media Entertainment & Gaming Association (iMEGA). If anything of importance happens, it should quickly appear on the appropriate forum dedicated to each of these organizations as well as our Poker Legislation Forum. Also, if any of you have any questions for or comments to make concerning either of these organizations, representatives of each of them are active on the appropriate forum.
