As I’m writing this, the WSOP is in full swing with lots of tournaments and lots of other games. Unfortunately for me, I have hardly played any poker the past month due to working on our upcoming books.
So far, most of my time has gone into Pot-Limit Omaha: An Understanding of Winning Play by William Jockusch. The manuscript is well on its way to being finished and we are projecting a middle of September release date. I won’t comment here as to the material since it’s better at this juncture for the author to do that (if he chooses) except to say that it’s my opinion the book will be well received by our Two Plus Two Community.
Our next three books are in various stages of completion. David Sklansky and Dr. Alan Schoonmaker expect to deliver their manuscript sometime in July/ Both Dan Harrington and Bill Robertie are in town to work on their next collaboration in the Harrington series that will address the very popular six-max no-limit games. And yes, Dan does play on the Internet and he does play in these games. We also expect to release this book sometime in the fall. Finally, our last remaining book, Analytical Hold ’em by Thomas Bakker, should be released before the end of the year. As stated previously, if the complete manuscript is as good as the material that we have reviewed, and we certainly expect this to be the case, this will be another top notch text.
On July 3 we will be holding our "unofficial" Two Plus Two Party at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The reason I say unofficial is that I have nothing to do with its organization, but it’s my understanding that a great deal of planning has gone into this and we expect lots of our community to be there. So if you’re going to be in town, make sure you sign up to come, and there are a number of threads scattered throughout the forums providing all the information. Last year’s party was a great success and we expect this one to be bigger and better.
Finally, we are doing some website redesign work. So in the near future, expect some of our pages to have a little different look. We plan to use both the names Two Plus Two Publishing and Two Plus Two Interactive where appropriate. Before anyone brings up the subject, we are not going to go with a wood panel look.
