I have a few things to report this month. First, we should be starting our Twitch Forum soon. I’m not going to describe it here but this should allow Twitch to be better embedded into www.twoplustwo.com, and it will also help us follow our favorite Twitch people as they play their poker games. In addition, it will allow our posters to make their comments in posts as they are watching the Twitch show.
Second, we now finally have a bit of good news concerning Internet poker. An online poker bill (AB 431) has finally moved through one of the California State Legislature committees. Now this doesn’t meant that Internet poker will be available in California in the near future, but it does mean that an important step has finally been taken in this direction. So this news is encouraging.
For those who want to read more about this bill and exactly what this vote means, here is a link to an article on Chris Grove’s Online Poker Report:
Again, so there is no misunderstanding, we’re not there yet, but this is finally a step in the right direction. So, let’s keep our fingers crossed.
Speaking of Chris Grove, we hope to be doing some stuff with him and John Mehaffey in the near future which should help keep all of us informed as to exactly what is happening relative to online poker in the United States. I’ll keep everyone informed as soon as more information is available.
Finally, some of you may have remembered that we announced a two year vacation relative to our book publishing business and it is now half way through that period. Well, our vacation may get cut short since Matthew Janda has just informed us that he may be ready to start working on another book. So, assuming this happens, my best guess is to look for a new book by Matt sometime this fall or a little later.
