At the time of this writing, we’ve just received some very good news. An agreement between the states of Nevada and Delaware to combine their player pools has been reached, and this is exactly the right step at this point in time that needs to be taken.
Now the reason why this is so important is not that the combination of these two states is going to produce lots of Internet poker games; it is simply that it can be done and in time other states will see exactly how this works and that it can work well.
At the moment, there are suppose to be ten states, in addition to Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware who already have Internet poker, that are considering the legalization of Internet poker. If this happens and then most of these states link up, it will be great news, and today’s important first step in that direction should help get all of this done. So, Two Plus Two sends its congratulations and thanks to Governor Sandoval of Nevada and Governor Markell of Delaware. For those who want to learn more, there are threads on this subject in the News, Views, and Gossip Forum and The Poker Legislation Forum.
Getting back to Two Plus Two business, work continues on our next book Harrington on
Modern Tournament Poker; How to Play No-Limit Hold ’em Multi-Table Tournaments by Dan Harrington and Bill Robertie. We’re still on schedule for May, and I’ll keep everyone informed on the progress.
We’re also very close to announcing the dates for our annual 2+2 Party. We expect to be back at the South Point Hotel & Casino where we had a terrific party last year. Again, look for an announcement soon.
